When I was making the book Newfoundland with the photographer Verdi Yahooda, she was printing a photograph of four heart mounts (metal detecting finds) and a colleague came in, saw the print upside down and said, "Ah heart moths!". He was an amateur entomologist and saw them as moths. For me, this helped me to think about hearts in a different way. The lettering was engraved on an old machine no longer in use.
